lol yeah, I'll be off and on all day. Sorry about that beforehand.

Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised to see that more members registered than I initially thought would. However, I don't want to completely slack off this time- and I wish to keep pushing luck by trying to see if I can interest more people.

The only problem is, like I mentioned before- all the things that went down to cause me to vanish for a while...forced me to leave a lot of forums. Because of this, I only have one place to advertise- and I have already dropped the ad there. ( Doesn't look like too many people are interested. xD It's always possible somebody from the board may join, but I won't hold my breath.)

So, I want to try and get us more members. More members means more people to comment, more diverse ranges of work, and more possible friends. And they can tell their friends and so on.

But I personally don't know any more places. I'm a little leery of sites like rpg directory after what one of the members here had to go through for them to be..aggravating. And I also don't like the idea of spamming people with links. I know how annoyed I get when random people message me begging me to join their forums. It doesn't make me interested in the least.

What I'm looking for from you guys is ideas or suggestions on where we can find more members- and even how to entice more into joining. Help advertising the forum would be appreciated as well, though I'm not going to force it. If you do, however, just please honor my request of not spamming people the link if they're not interested. That could bring about problems and people who would join just to post an angry message. I want new members to join BECAUSE they like the site and want to join in the posting.

You don't have to do all that if it'd be a burden, but thank you for the offer. ;3 lol, it's my fault the other site died- so I don't want to push anybody else into doing the work that is mine. But if you do want to help, then awesome and thanks ahead of time.

And y'know, I don't have an LJ- but I was kind of thinking about the fanfiction.net thing. I think it's a good idea, so thanks for suggesting. I'll have to make a new profile there, but I was going to do it anyway. I just have to cruise around the forums there- but I'm sure there is a thread for advertisements like that, or I could find a place to make one.

Regarding the latter, I despise the idea of Twitter in general- so I'm definately not going to make one of those. XD I may consider an LJ, I just have to wonder whether that is worth it- as I wouldn't use it for anything else. Still, I'd be far more willing to make one of those.

I also think I'll ad-hop through non role playing sites posted on rpg collection and directory. Since we have a guest-friendly advertising area, I don't think it'd be a problem to post our ad on their stuff.

I would've sworn that I've seen non-RP related sites advertised at Fantasmic before, but I'll ask, just to stay on the safe side.

I still have my LJ, tho I only use it for commenting and such at a few communities these days. I'll look around and namedrop at some suitable communities.

Hrm, well the only concern I have with LJ is I know connected to fan fiction- there are some particularly snooty and uptightish people in those communities. Who thrive on tearing apart stuff, as I've heard from friends- so I'm just a little worried about that in addition.

lol, now I realize I'm being picky and difficult here, sorry. But you're a member, so you probably know how to pick apart the communities full of smug jerks from ones with people who wouldn't be completely rude.

Well, Fantasmic is a-okay with us advertising there. Do you have some sort of ad available?

BTW, if we do happen to get some obnoxious people onboard from one of these communities, I'm sure we'll have no trouble letting them know what we're about and seeing them off if necessary.
