I know I know y'all have missed me not being here the past several days *dry your eyes I'm back*
I was abducted by...*no not aliens*... a nearly week long party *yay!*...man my head hurts... had to have been that rumpelmintz
Anyway...One of my friends is joining the Army and we had to send him off properly. Our journey started off so quietly, the calm before the snowstorm. As I made my way last Sunday night on a 300 mile round trip which normally takes me 3 hrs, this trip took 7 hrs* trip to pick up my nephew but he doesn’t get out of work till 4 PM the little(censored word) and right at the height of a major blizzard.
Putting my most excellent mad driving skills to the ultimate test I passed crash after crash *except for the one that happened in front of me which I did stop and check that they were all right... they were*At a whopping 30 MPH for the next 180 miles I was forced on back roads, Avoiding cars trucks and ditches, Sliding through stop signs, leaping tall buildings in a single bound!... ok, maybe that last thing didn’t happen BUT! In the end we made it *whew!*
Then spent the next few days cuddled up to my nippy bottle and enjoyed many relaxing moments of Guitar Hero, Call of Duty, Halo and something weird about snow banks and bunny rabbits. *don’t ask me where that came from* and Toasting the day we all will get back together.
Today was our last day together *well hopefully not LAST!* but our little group has gone home and it is time to come back to reality. *now someone please pass the Alka-Seltzer *
