Thread idea -- Animasia V.2.0?

Hey there, cats and kittens. Some of you may know that a few years ago, I made a feeble attempt at creating a RP forum called Animasia where members could RP as nearly any animated characters they could think of. It went under because my coding skills are like the dodo: non-existent.

But anyways, I wondered if anyone here would be open to a thread where you could play as your favorite animated character (2-D, CGI, anime, whatever) and have them interact with one another.

Animasia's original plot was that after the characters' shows or film ended, they all somehow ended up in an unexplored world and had to carve out a new existence for themselves there. But if anyone has another idea that they would like to share, then do so. We could all vote on the one we like the best, and use this thread to plot and such like. XD

Let me just say this: please no characters from mediums aimed at adults (IE: Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc.). I'd like to keep the rating for the RP PG-13.

Players may acquire up to four canon characters.

Quick question: should there be a limit on the number of characters people can grab? Like, four at the most? Or is that not enough?

Personally I would stick to one or two at the most but others might be able to handle more.

I would say that four should be the limit or it would get to confusing as to who's who.

lol I wouldn't mind joining a new Animasia forum, I miss that place. Though, I do agree to having a maximum of four characters per person. Would there still be a "canon characters only" sorta deal or would this be for both canon and fan-mades? Just curious.

LOL. I think any thread that has Homer meeting a Disney character or whatever would be beyond cracky. XD

@sara: I'm afraid this wouldn't be on a new forum (as awesome as that would be, I don't have the sort of skills or time needed to handle that). It'd be played out right here. To answer your question, I was wanting to make this for canon characters only.

Well, I thought I'd go with the ones I had before, Wormmon and Bushroot, along with Amalthea the Last Unicorn and..... I'll get back to ya on the fourth one.

Hmmm If I were an character. Who would I be?

First one that comes to mind is Baloo from Tailspin.

My second choice would be Owen for those of you who like the Total Drama series.

Third and I dont know how this came to mind, but Hudson from Gargoyles.

And forth I will say a random choosing from the narrator. surprize me *grinz*

Added everyone's choices! Let me just say that you don't have to necessarily pick four characters if you don't want to, that's purely just an option.

I have several choices for my characters in mind, but I'll list them once I see who everyone gets first.

Owen's a nice guy, loves food. thats actually a funny series Imho.

As far as a random, sure why not, it will give me a challenge to RP something that I'm not used to. If I have to Ill look into the character to see what they are like or who knows I may know it.

Or even a villain? I dont see any of those in the list. I'm flexable

Okay, I see where you're coming from. That's an interesting way of challenging yourself! You're right, we could use a bad guy or two. Let me think... *ponders* Have you seen Over The Hedge? If so, then what about Vincent the bear? Or Skeletor from the most recent He-Man series (man, he was awesome)? I could come at you with some more choices if you want.

Sounds interesting, I'd choose Lucky and Two-Tone from 101 Dalmatians the series and maybe Gatomon or Patamon from digimon

@two-Tone: Are you absolutely certain that you want Gatomon and Patomon as characters? I noticed you said 'maybe' and just wanted to be sure.

While I'm here, allow me to lay out the basic rules:

1. No powerplaying or godmoding.
2. No heavy swearing (especially if it's not in character for your character).
3. In fact, please strive to keep your characters in character. There's nothing wrong with furthering their characterization (especially if they didn't receive very much attention or development), but there's really no point in playing a canon character if you're just going to ignore everything that was laid out in the canon about them.
4. In this setting, animals who could actually speak in canon can communicate with humans.
5. Please no one-liners. If you need help beefing your posts up, just let me know and I will be more then happy to help you.
