I gots run over by a deer back in march all i need is a new drivers door and fender and Ill have a whole car again. Looks like we's all gots somtin in common... BAD LUCK!
DX I'm so sorry about that. I hope your car has gotten fixed up now? Crazy animals!
So yet again, I'm sorry about my sporadic appearances on this forum. I would not blame you guys at all if you're annoyed at me by this point and don't want to speak to me at all. But, I feel the need to explain regardless!
like i said, there were irl issues like this bill thing piling up. I also had a nasty kidney infection I'm still trying to combat, and I was involved in a program with school working at a nearby preschool as my degree now is for early childhood education. It got way more time consuming than I thought it would, particularly with my kidney infection and the antibiotics making me tired. My car needed more repairs I was trying to help pay off along with this bill thing, and my dad has been upset at me regarding the columbia bill because he doesn't think I'm doing enough to try and fix it...so during this work program and other stuff, I was not allowed to get on my computer much at all unless I had 'done enough' in his eyes.
They wanted me to spend a lot less time on the computer this summer, and I was going to post a message last week actually, but our router was total crap there for a while. (it's really old), and we finally got a new one so...yeah!
But now I'm checking in a bit more than usual. I'm sure there will be more restrictions since my work program is over and I'm fairly certain we have to shovel out the huge cash sum to the school and my dad is already pissed and we haven't even paid yet.
BUT, I'mma try and lurk around as much as I can. But now you know why I'm so off and on. u__u I'm hoping it won't have to keep being so sporadic, I really hate it and feel excessively guilty about it, but...blarh.

honestly i don't know. but it was running faster then I was driving
I was doing 35 in broad daylight on a major road next to downtown city park as i started across a bridge
It hit me from behind damaging my drivers door and fender
my luck just sucks
Wow, that blows. But at least the deer wasn't driving. Some of those big vehicles can do a lot of damage. *is shot*
@shauni: I'm not mad. I'm just relieved to hear that you're alright. Sorry to hear about your dad giving you grief and those bills. School is insanely expensive these days. *shakes head*
As far as the money you owe Columbia goes, have you tried filling out a FASFA form?
I have actually, I was going to fill out a form for that ages ago..but for some stupid reason, they told me they wouldn't accept our forms. Apparently I don't qualify for financial aid there, because my dad makes quite a bit of money at his job. It sounded like complete BS, but that's what my advisors told me and made me hate that school so much more. They just seem to be money-grubbers, trying to get as much money without giving you any slack if they can. I heard that often when I actually went there too. :/

Sorry to hear about your issues too. And those school bills...ugh. It's funny that us college students can get the grades to be accepted into darn near any college but no funds to back it up. I was in the same situation at the time when my dad was at his old job of making too much money. Tuition was sky high when I was applying for colleges and its still high now (especially for out of state). Even so, you should still apply regardless of whether you may "qualify" or not since you can still get SOME money towards school. I don't know how it is for your state, but in New Jersey we get Tuition Aid Grants to help. Do you qualify for any scholarships? That seems to be the only way you can get in at low or no cost.
EDIT: Get an iPad/iPod with 3G, the ProBoard app along with it and you'll be fine when you're away from your computer.

You might not have qualified because... well, you might be too middle class. I got told the same thing when I tried to fill out a FASFA form. Like Citydawg said, scholarships could prove handy. Oh, and pell grants, which don't need to be repaid: www.ed.gov/programs/fpg/index.html
yeah, I totally agree with all of that! >.o Thanks for the links and support guys. We had to pay, lol, naturalllly. But at least the college around here is soo much better and not as money grubby.
SOOOO
kinda lame update. My activity is gonna be somewhat sporadic, and for that I apologize. School is starting to kick it up a notch, as is life. XD My sister is not doing too well in middle school attitude-wise, so I'm trying to help out there, get another paying job in the midst of volunteer stuff, and trying to do all sorts of crap. >.o
Which includes sitting down and trying to write some things(yes a lot of it is paper and hw stuff, but there's some for fun stuff in there too!), and for whatever reason I find the internet distracts me completely, so I've been taking some breaks there. I'll try to hop on as much as I can though, and get to all the threads I need to.
SORRRRY for being such a sporadic presence though. (a lot of the times i've been on lately, it's through my ipod, so i haven't really been able to post to anything there. XD)
I will try and be more of a presence here! I'm just warning you now my activity's gonna be completely random. some days i might be everywhere here, then others i might not be on at all. Curse you life and my easily distracted brain.
I HAVE NOT ABANDONED THO.
